About the Artist
A lifelong resident of the Queens Community, as well as a poet, textile artist and teacher, Aimee has always enjoyed working with her hands to experiment, explore and create designs in fabric and mixed media. A quilter for several years, Aimee enjoys collecting and using fabric from all over the world in both traditional and modern designs. Textiles are universal, they link cultures and traditions, past, present and future. Quilting is an art form and an educational tool for teaching both children and adults about history and different cultures.
